Installation of Precast

All precast should be installed using a thinset application in conjunction with PL600 epoxy on the backs of the pieces. If setting bed is required, prep area with thinset on surface then on setting bed with motor type 1 or 3, then thinset and epoxy the backs of the pieces.

 All horizontal overhead elements must be attached using the above method and using tap­con fasteners. The fasteners are to go a minimum of 1 1/2'' into wall sections - at least one per 4 ft. section, or as necessary.

If brick ties are provided with the pieces, then they need to be screwed in to substrate with thinset covering screw.

If dowels are out the back of the pieces, a hole needs to be drilled and the pieces inserted using PL600 or an equal masonry epoxy.
